Dengue, Chikungunya, Mosquitoes Under Surveillance
Since 2004, Aedes albopictus took up residence in southern France. Particularly harmful, this mosquito can transmit to humans diseases such as dengue or chikungunya. In 2010, four indigenous cases have been identified in France. To stand in the way these diseases, the Ministry for Health has just activated its plan for vector control.
Every year since 2006, this device and activated at the approach of summer. It is based on:

Remember that simple actions can fight against the proliferation of mosquitoes. It is important for example to eliminate standing water that allow its reproduction, especially in and around the home: saucers of flower pots, vases, poorly maintained gutters, old tires should be eliminated wherever possible. These tips also apply in all French regions that are plagued by mosquitoes, whatever!
