Catawba Rhododendron

Catawba Rhododendron is quite native in Appalachian Mountains that been located in Unites States of America. This flowering shrub species came from Rhododendron family and its entirely name been derive from Catawba tribe in the Native Americans. Catawba Rhododendron will just be growing in the height for an about 3.5 meters and its very dense evergreen shrub. Leaves of this plant entirely grows in a maximum length for just about 12 cm and its width for an about 4cm. Catawba Rhododendron flowers got a violet coloration with smaller streaks darker purple coloration and even grow for an about 4 cm of its diameter. This fruit grows in a length of 2 cm that is now a dry capsule with various seeds inside of it.
