First, have you ever wondered why butterflies are called butterflies? Well, one reason is that some are a rich, yellow, buttery color. Males are more colorful than females. Isn’t that amazing! Butterflies vary in all sizes and colors. That is what makes them so beautiful to watch!
Second, here is a fact: butterflies cannot live in a place that is too hot or too cold. They have to live in a place that is exactly right for them. They are meticulous when it comes to living! They also cannot live in places without flowers and plants. They depend on plants to live. They lay their eggs on the leaves of plants. They also sip the nectar of flowers.
Finally, did you know that your flowers are pollinated by the butterflies? In addition, that no two butterflies are the same? That is amazing! The world of butterflies will always astonish you!
Next summer, when you are outside making your garden beautiful, make sure you plant many flowers — and the butterflies just might come and visit!
