Mythical and folklore, creature of true strength and majesty.
Wolves have been around for over 300,000 years, the worlds biggest species of canidae. Where human and wolf interaction occur, myths and folklore are created. The fear of these amazing mammals, is placed in the eyes of people everywhere. Little Red Riding Hood, The Boy Who Cried Wolf, Dracula and his abilities to change into a wolf… Yet, not all of these are true.

Their strength is better in numbers, though a single wolf is found. Whether they have been driven from the pack or a young in search of new territory. Most have viewed these has very strong hierarchy; having the alpha, beta, and omega. The “alpha” being the breeding pair, usually the strongest of the pack. “Beta” the individuals, who are the least agressive or the younger. “The omega” also known as the scapegoat, he is the weakest of the pack.

Understanding the behavior of these majestic creatures, will give you a better understanding of who they are. When they are feeling playful, their tails are held high and waging. They almost look to be prancing around, bouncing. While a frightened wolf, tries to look small and cowers. Far from being aggressive, which is when their hair stands on their backs.
Howling is like calling someone, it is their way to keep in touch with one another. There are also other types of howls, like the barks you hear from a dog. It could mean they are showing dominance or bringing others together.

Dogs are the direct descendants of Canis Lupus. Though it is illegal to have a pure bred wolf, but a mix breed is not. The mix breeds can be wonderful as a pet, but like every wild animal, they can turn on you. Wolves and dogs alike, are loyal creatures…To their companions and their owners. Their are often misunderstood, for some mythical creature of darkness.

i love dogs but i don’t think I’ll feel the same with wolves..=)
