This article will give you the basics about the cockroach, and why they have been around for so long!

The cockroach is one of the oldest species currently living on our planet that we know about as of today. They have the ability to eat many things, they can live almost anywhere, and they don’t die easily. The cockroach has lived for about 350 million years. This animal is small, flat, very hard, and oval shaped, and its head is concealed by its own body to protect it from danger. A cockroach cannot be crushed and it can survive a nuclear explosion.  The cockroach can live almost anywhere including houses, buildings, and affected areas.  The cockroach can live in any habitat including indoors and outdoors.  Cockroaches reproduce sexually four times a year.  This helps the population live and grow, also it helps them be immune to their environment. The cockroach has many predators, so it is prey to many animals such as the praying mantis, spiders, shrews, mice, rats, birds, songbirds, scorpions, skunks, lizards, raccoons, snakes, and frogs.
