What You Need to Know About The Sun

Here are just some facts about the sun.

Believe it or not the sun has been around 4.6 billion to 4.7 billion years old. The core of the sun is 27 million degrees F. And the temperature is 10,000F.

The reason the sun doesn’t burn the Earth to cinders is that it is situated 93 million miles from the Earth. The diameter of the Earth is 864,000 miles.

The surface area of the Earth is measured 2350 billion square miles.

The way the sun gets as much energy to be as hot as it is is by nuclear fission. It converts into helium hydrogen. The sun consumes hundreds of tonnes of hydrogen every second and turn it into helium. For us people who live on Earth wanted to create as much energy as the sun has they would have to explode 100 million tons of TNT every second to match the sun’s energy.

A lot of scientists  believe the sun and the rest of the solar system was created a solar nebula, which is a giant rotating clouds of gas and dust. Eventually the nebula collapsed as a result it spun faster and became a disk of flattened solar nebula.

The broken nebula pulled towards the center of the solar system. Even though the sun is as old as it is it will not stop  the Sun from whining while we are on Earth and it has around 4 billion more years left to shine.

There are 100 billion stars in the solar system and the sun is considered one of them.

The sun is the largest object in sour solar system. It is so large that it is about 109 times the diameters of Earth. If it were possible one could fit 0ne million Earths in the moon.
