What is an Asteroid

Asteroids are known to all of us as a flying lump of rock in space that could threaten human kind and life on Earth. But what if I told you that millions of years ago they were a factor of life on earth and a main ingredient of what we are today.

Water

Our water on earth was brought here from outer space millions of years ago, Earth was just a big rock that orbited the sun until a Asteroid shower hit our planet. These asteroids carry minerals and gases in them that were frozen inside these huge rock like structures, they are frozen by the coldness in our solar system and fused together by the lack of gravity to separate them. When they broke through our atmosphere and slammed into our planet they broke apart. Our gravity on earth separated all the gases and minerals and our heat in our atmosphere melted the ice forming the seas we have today. Because we didn’t have ice to cool our atmosphere it was scorching hot on this planet just like mars is today.

As the ice melted and formed puddles on our planet the gases were released and separated from the water into our atmosphere, these gases calmed down our weather systems that were violent at the time, for instance think of a sand storm in the desert and magnify that by Hurricane Katrina, or Gustav by 10000. The weather systems were dry because of the planet having no water before these asteroids hit the planet and they were so violent because there was no cooling system to calm them down. The moon at this stage was just 100 feet from our atmosphere giving our planet its gravity so dense that if we were alive we would just be puddles ourselves on the ground not even being able to stand up against the force of the moon. With the heat in our atmosphere and the moon pushing so hard against our surface the asteroids didn’t take long to melt and be broken apart.

Millions of years later when the moon eventually started to move away from our planet, and to this day still is. Every year that passes the moon drifts 4mm away from the surface of Earth releasing the gravity slower and slower as it drifts into space. This will give you an idea of how long it took for our oceans to form and life to begin on earth. All the while asteroids kept smashing into our surface adding more and more chemicals, minerals and gases that were to be trapped in our atmosphere. As the gases and chemicals rose it cooled down our weather systems just as slowly as it took to fill our oceans with water, this took millions of years.

Everybody knows life on earth began in the ocean, if you don’t you do now. The first life form was sea weeds and coral reefs these were formed by a chemical reaction, the gravity was much lighter under water. You will notice if you try to push a ball under water it pops back up right, well the seeds of life that got separated from the asteroids lay on the sea bed and waited for the moon to be far enough away to allow them the freedom to grow. The further away the moon got form the surface it was releasing the grip on gravity allowing other life forms to flourish.

Trees and Plants

Trees and plants formed on earth by the chemicals and minerals that rose into our atmosphere. When our weather systems calmed down the rains fell with particles of life and hit the earths soil the gravitational pull was still to strong for plants to grow so they lay dormant on the ground. With the rains over the years these particles interacted and formed a chemical reaction with the cooling planet seasons formed and the moon released its force and the life began to grow. Trees and plants grow upwards toward the light and with the moon releasing its grip there was no stopping them and up they went.

Life Forms

Adam and Eve is a story and anyone who believes that they were put here by the hand of God is I have to say it “ a fool “. Adam and Eve the lung fish I would believe faster. If you have ever seen a lung fish if you haven’t I have added a link below. But if you have you will see that they are fish with legs a weird looking breed of species but one of the last pieces of true evolution. Back millions of years ago these fish with legs not a lung fish but similar idea were acceptable to levels of radiation that no one could withstand but these little creatures could. They came out of the water and seen the trees and plants and started eating them instead of the plankton that was in the sea. These were the first herbivores on the Planet as they evolved they started to lay their eggs on land instead of in the water. When these creatures would hatch from the egg they would eat the vegetation as time progressed other breeds of fish started coming out of the sea thinking it was a great idea. Some of these had teeth some didn’t some in the water would eat other fish and some would eat the ones leaving the water. These were the first carnivores, as time progressed thousands of years after they adapted to their surroundings and grew larger and larger bringing the age of the dinosaurs and with the moon fading they could grow much larger. One of the first dinosaurs was the crocodile that we have today but not exactly what we see today they were a different shape and size as evolution took its toll they changed and other animals formed taking refuge in the trees off the ground some species formed wings and took to the skies.

Asteroids are the creator of everything you see but can also be the destruction of every thing you see too like we saw with the dinosaurs that caused an ice age throwing our atmosphere into turmoil yet again. The smaller animals were more wide spread and more adaptable to the cold conditions and they were smaller to fit into areas to shelter the harsh conditions. Because of the size of the dinosaurs they couldn’t find refuge and froze to death. The crocodile and snake are the remaining dinosaurs we have today but they had to evolve to survive and adapt to their new surroundings.

As promised the lung fish these will shine a light on the evolution from the sea……

Always figured Genesis for a metaphor rather than fact. Nice article.
