India’s first mission to moon, the spacecraft named ‘Chandrayaan1′, was declared a failed mission few weeks back until one fine day the news broke out that it has detected the presence of water on it.The mission was launched in October 2008 and lasted till 29 August 2009 when it stopped sending radio signals due to several technical problems including the star sensor and thermal shield. The Indian spacecraft was in fact carrying several payloads which included payloads from NASA and other space agencies of the world.Among these payloads was an imaging spectrometer called The Moon Mineralogy Mapper (M3) installed on the Chandrayann1 by NASA which was responsible for finding water on lunar surface,The Chandryann1 it seems played a role of a carrier for these instruments which lead to the discovery of water on moon.

As expected, The NASA announced (LCROSS) that they will soon be bombing the surface of the moon to carry out their research more deeply regarding the mystery of presence of water on it which they did yesterday successfully.The whole world watched in amazement as the rockets hit the surface of moon wounding it with the impact.

My prediction is there is no such presence of reservoirs of water on moon.The scientists may have found some amount of water (ice) on the surface but they wont find any huge reservoirs of water anywhere on the moon.
