Universe is Flat

The most accurate measurement was obtained by the action exerted by the mysterious object from space: dim energy, which constitutes most of the universe (73%) and “engine” of its expansion, whose existence was announced in 1998.

According to new measurements made in an international study (a collaboration of the Center for Space Studies of France and NASA’s Jet Propulsion Laboratory), published by Science magazine, the Universe is flat and will continue to expand with an increasing speed .

The result of this study is 30% accurate compared to previous measurements and was achieved thanks to a new observation techniques and data from the most sophisticated telescopes, combined with theoretical models of the distribution of matter in the universe.

More precisely, to decipher secrets dark energy, the largest agglomeration of galaxies known, Abel 1689, was used as a “lens” cosmic: it called for an effect predicted by Einstein’s relativity theory, that a galaxy in May close bends and amplifies light from a distant galaxy, increasing the image as they would make it a plus.
