The Planet Venus
Venus is the second-closest planet to the sun.
The size of Venus is almost equal to that of the earth, it is only 18% smaller than the earth, and it is the nearest planet from the earth. When we see Venus from the earth, it revealed that it is the brightest of all planets. After sunset, it is the first planet to be visible in the west and similarly before sunrise, it is the last planet to disappear.
There are mountains, planes, valleys on its surface. We can see two mountain ranges on Venus; it is 109000000 km away from the sun. The planet Venus is very hot and dry and lacks water.
It is covered by thick carbon dioxide blanket. Apart from carbon dioxide, it also has nitrogen, sulpher dioxide, and sulphuric acid. Atmospheric pressure on Venus is many times more than the earth’s atmospheric pressure. It also has volcanic mountains and the largest one is ‘Olympus mous’.which is 25km in height.
Because of lack of oxygen on Venus, it does not support the life.
