The Difference Between Astrology and Numerology

Astrology and Numerology are becoming more and more popular all over the world. Astrology is completely different from Numerology. Of course there are a few things that link Astrology with Numerology. Some people think both are the same. They don’t know the difference between astrology and Numerology. Please continue reading…..

Why do people consult Astrologers and Numerologists: Man always wants to know about his future. That is why people refer Astrologers. Numerology on the other hand focuses on lucky numbers, lucky colors, lucky gem stones and lucky names. As I said, People consult astrologers mainly to know about their future. They also consult them to know about the astrological remedies for the problems predicted by the astrologers. People consult Numerologists to know about their lucky numbers, lucky colors, lucky gem stones and lucky names. Some may refer Astrology and Numerology just for fun. In fact even scientists believe in Astrological predictions. Some may say both Astrology and Numerology don’t have any scientific base and are just a crap. Of course they can have their own opinions on these hot topics.

What is Astrology?: It is a subject that studies about the planets, stars and their influence on human beings on Earth. It is related to Astronomy. As per Indian Vedic Astrology nine planets influence human life on Earth. The nine planets are Sun(it is treated as planet in Indian astrology), Moon(is also treated as a planet), Jupiter, Mars, Mercury, Venus, Saturn, Rahu(Western astrologers call it as Uranus)and  Ketu(Neptune). Indian Astrology takes into account of 9 planets, 27 important stars and 12 Rasi(zodiac) signs. The astrologer prepares  the birth chart using the exact time of birth. The astrologer gives you the predictions after carefully analyzing your birth chart.

Concept of Astrology: As per Astrology planets have influence on human life. The planetary positions of these 9 important planets at the time of birth of a person determines the whole life of that person. In other words if the planets are at good positions at the time of your birth, you will have a great life in this world enjoying good fortunes, fame and wealth. Venus is the planet that gives you love, sex and married life. If Venus is in a good position at your time of birth it implies that you will enjoy a great love life or married life. Similarly each planet has its  influences on human life.

Numerology: Numerology can tell about your characters, lucky numbers, lucky colors, lucky gemstones and lucky names. Numerology can also give you future predictions to some extent. But Astrology can give accurate future predictions. Numerology can be used to give a baby a good powerful name.(A good name can get you good things in life) Similarly you can use Numerology to know about your lucky numbers, colors and gem stones.

Summary: Astrology is a bigger subject which can give you accurate predictions about your future. Numerology on the other hand can be used to know about your lucky numbers, colors, gem stones and lucky names. I hope you can now understand the difference between Astrology and Numerology. Thanks for reading.
