The Blue Moon of August 2012
This depicts photos of the full moons that occurred in August of 2012.
In case you’re living in a cave, you probably heard of the blue-moon event which happened in August 2012. According to Wikipedia (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Blue_moon), a blue moon is the second full moon in a calendar month and is a rare event which happens every 2 or 3 years. In case you’ve missed it, you have another chance to see it. The next blue-moon event will be on July 31, 2015. Mark you calendar.
Here are the photos which I’ve taken during the event using Sony SLT-A77 camera and Tamron 70-300 f/4-5.6 SP USD lens.
