Stars are Getting Old and Die

The Crab Nebula is one of the most intricately structured and highly dynamical objects ever observed.

The world of stars is very much similar to ours. There are old stars, middle-aged stars and also the newborn stars. Every star begins its life as an enormous cloud of dust and gas. This star factory is known as a Nebula.

All stars are made up of hydrogen and helium gases. Our Sun, like all the other stars in Universe, follows a life cycle. It is a middle-aged star. Stars are being born and dying all the time in Space. When a star dies, it explodes into a supernova.

The Crab Nebula is a six-light-year-wide expanding remnant of a star’s supernova explosion. At the center of the Crab nebula is a rapidly spinning neutron star, or pulsar that emits pulses of radiation 30 times a second.

Stars are like people. They are born, they mature and in the end they die. So too our earth. It is not infinite. there will come a time that our earth too will die, but it will take millions or not billion of years. By that time we are long gone.
