Meteor Shower in August 2009
Millions of chunks of debris ranging from all sizes known as meteors, enters the earth atmosphere every day. At night,observers can see the trail of a meteor as it streaks through the sky.
Meteors starts as chunks of matter,ranging sizes swarming around the main star in orbits of all shapes,orbits sometimes collisions sometimes happen between one of the rocks,known as meteors. Meteors enter the earth atmosphere everyday.Night observers can see the trail end of the meteor as it streak through the sky creating a fascinating meteor shower,this is where the chunks of matter starts to break down turning to dust.But sometimes every now and then, a large one makes it to the surface,it would then be classed as a meteorite,which have been known to show up everywhere in the world.meteorites when it occurs creates a tremendous explosions ,which leaves a crater if it occurs on land.In the past in Arizona recorded meteor crater,which was 1.5km in diameter,was form by a large meteorite impact several thousand years ago.The probability there ever being a major meteorite impact is low, so i hope that everyone will enjoy seeing the meteor shower.
