Letdown The truth is, not all methane gas comes from living creatures. Geologic forces on the surface of a planet or deep inside, can produce methane. Many scientist have admitted liquid water on Mars could cause chemical reactions that are producing the methane clouds ruling out hungry Martians eating rocks and passing gas. The Possibility…. If microorganisms are causing the methane clouds how do we know they are truly Martian life forms? The answer is we don’t know. There is a possibility microorganisms from Earth hitched a ride to Mars on a probe or meteorite and contaminated the once pristine Martian environment with Earth microorganisms. In Conclusion….. The truth is, before anybody can say with absolute certainty Martians are passing gas on Mars, more information needs to be collected on the origins of the massive methane clouds above the planet. I definitely believe it is worth time and money to find the source of these clouds.
