Life on Mars Announcement and Denial Again! Life on Mars Found!
Published by Life on Mars Found! Is there life on Mars or not? Recent announcement of life on mars and then denial are becoming commonplace anymore. Over the past several decades we have seen numerous reports of life being found on Mars and then they are dismissed. Will we ever know?
Announcement: Life has been found on Mars! This headline has been announced repeatedly over the years and every time it is dismissed almost immediately as being false. So where are these announcements coming from? Most of the time these are nothing but tabloid news stories or news media stations/websites only discussing some of the findings from Mars missions and then drawing conclusions on them which are in no way true. The one thing to realize about our missions to Mars is that there has not been even one capable of detecting life in the first place so all claims of life being found have to be false. Unless, of course you believe those stories of people seeing lifeforms in the Mars rovers pictures.
Currently we have multiple missions exploring the Mars surface and some in orbit mapping the surface. All of these missions have one thing in common and that is that they are all looking for water in some way. These missions are an essential stepping stone for us searching for life as water is the key ingredient in all lifeforms. By mapping the current ice pockets just underneath the surface and the ones along the poles we can get some idea on where life may have been or is still on Mars. The same can be said for the rovers as they are exploring ancient lake beds and rocks that appear to have been submerged in water.
So, what does all this mean? Basically there is no proof whatsoever that there is life on Mars, at least not yet. We are on a good road to finding this out in the coming years though. One of the next missions to Mars will be the Mars Science Laboratory nicknamed Curiosity (scheduled to launch in 2011) that will be the most advanced rover to date. This rover will be able to conclude if Mars was or is capable of supporting any kinds of life. While this Rover will not be able to determine directly if life is present, it will be able to determine if Mars has an environment or area conducive to life either in the past or the present. There will also be a carbon experiment on board the rover that may give us any organic carbon signatures. If organics are indeed found then the certainty for life is almost a definite.
When will we finally know the answer to life on Mars? I think we are heading in the right direction and we will know within the next 20 years whether Mars ever had or currently has life. It is an incredibly exciting time for research in this area and the age old question: Are we alone? may finally be answered in the near future.

I don’t think we are alone. But will we ever find alien life? The universe is so vast that humankind may kill itself off before we find it.

An interesting subect, and you summed it up well too. I think it is safe to say that if we can find life on mars or proof that it onece existed there it would spark a new era in space exploration. Here’s hoping.

I also doubt that we are alone in this universe. But I wonder, if someday we find our “friends”, will we stay in peace. There are wars in this world, I hope either we the humans or the aliens won’t try to conquer each other.

Rumor has it from an anonymous writer who would not reveal his or her source: Thousands of years ago there was civilized life on Mars, under the same intergallactic government as Earth. Thus, the “man’s face” mound, and other lifelike 3-dimensional phenomenon on the surface of Mars, like a pyramid, that seem to resemble such things found on Earth. But because of a war, the atmosphere got ripped off the planet so that it could no longer sustain civilization, although for awhile a few people did try to continue living there. They all ended up back here on this planet. So, if you think your neighbor is a Martian, perhaps you’re not so wrong after all!

An interesting possibility indeed… personally I really hope that there is life at least somewhere near by, but hope too tht we never come into life which can visit us before we can visit it.

Life on Mars through MER, or fossils on Mars in MI imaging, is only suggestive, but visciously denied by most who claim to be classic science trained, even when they view the images. Clearly something is amiss in the basics of recording the science instruments details. You each have to judge this;

Life on Mars is simply impossible. I suppose life as we know it is impossible. But something could adapt to the harsh conditions on Mars. Hmmm…. though provoking stuff.
