Isro’s Chandrayaan – One Comes to an Abrupt End

ISRO’s( indian space reasearch organisation) prestigious moon mission the Chandrayaan – one comes to an un expected end on 29 aug 2009 at 1:30 am IST (indian standard time)

in october,2008 india was all ready to set a mark on the moon with the prestigious chandrayaan mission.it was expected to find minerals and “water” on the surface on the moon.on 29 aug 2009 at 1:30 am indian standard time the scientists could not recover signals from the space craft and despite many efforts made later in the day ,nothing could have been recieved except for the sad news that of the mission faliure .the last signal was recieved at 00:25 am .the scientists were making desperate efforts to check the air crafts sub-systems.it had already made 3400 revolutions around the moon giving tons of information about the moon.using latest technology camera’s chandrayaan was almost the biggest thing ever in india’s space research program.with this india could have made a mark among those nations which have already researched on the moon.although 90% of the research was complete , it would have been a totally different sight of chandrayaan returning to india.

however chandrayaan-2 is almost ready to be launced in to the space and is expected to be launced in 2010 or 2012.hope it makes a succesful trip home and provide huge information to india and the world.
