How Many People Have Actually Walked on The Moon?

A bite-size answer to the question: how many people have walked on the Moon?

Most of us know that Neil Armstrong was the first person to step foot on the Moon (21st July 1969), closely followed by his fellow astronaut Buzz Aldrin. But do you know how many people in total have walked on the Moon?

Well, the answer is 12

Neil Armstrong, Buzz Aldrin, Pete Conrad, Alan Bean, Alan Shepard, Edgar Mitchell, David Scott, James Irwin, John W. Young, Charles Duke, Harrison Schmidt and Eugene Cernan.

To date, Schmidt and Cernan were the last men to walk on the Moon after Apollo 17 landed there back on 11th December 1972, leaving on the 14th. Nobody has returned since…

I know that Apollo 13 is the only moon project that failed. So your list correct. I only knew 6 of them. Neil Armstrong, Buzz Aldrin, Pete Conrad, Alan Bean,Harrison Schmidt and Eugene Cernan.
