Heard this song a long time ago while I was driving with a friend along the, then picturesque, road leading from Sangolda to the famous Calangute beach in Goa(Goa is a world famous tourist destination on the west coast of the Indian subcontinent). The tune was beautifully haunting and it has stayed on with me over the years. However, I didn’t get a thorough hold of the lyrics, till today. Hope you enjoyed listening to Claire, a song by Gilbert O’Sullivan.
Claire was the daughter of Gilbert’s Manager,then. This song was entirely inspired by the little girl,Claire. Who has also participated in the real life video, seen here.
Am presently on a high, enjoying some of my old(all-time) favourites, which I just couldn’t resist sharing with you’ll. Am on Asian Moon currently(I always believed it was Bombay Moon, even ran a google search for it with that title but now I know Lobo wrote it as Asian Moon). Just taking a break from shaking a leg with achy breaky heart…
