Astrology – Fact or Fiction? Time to Wake Up

I work with an idiot, he told me today that the planets are aligning on the 28th July and that means there will be a large earthquake. His prediction is in New Zealand. As I say he is an idiot but I thought I’d look in to some modern Astrology to see how it’s getting on, this is my favourite bit that I found while scurrying round the interwab, particularly pay attention to the bit I have put in bold towards the end, such powerful predictive skills:

“In mid-July of 1990, there was a significant six-planet alignment involving the new moon (solar eclipse) and an opposition of Jupiter and Saturn. Just as this celestial event occurred, Iraq threatened, massed troops against and then invaded Kuwait. (The invasion of Kuwait coincided with a lunar eclipse squared by Mars and Pluto that financial astrologer Arch Crawford warned would mark an explosive event weeks ahead of time – see the list below.)

Now this mid-July we are seeing a similar six-planet alignment just before the new moon. If, as I believe, Russia and the Arab powers are shaping history according to astrology, then grave danger may lie ahead, particularly for Israel and possibly America as well.

I can see where the hostile, demonic national powers aligned against us are shaping history according to the stars (like Hitler did) toward a catastrophic war that may spell an end to Western civilization as we know it. That war may come in the vicinity of the upcoming planetary alignment, or at least the war may be initiated in some facet around that time. If not now, however, it will come later as long as nobody ever recognizes how these evil forces are operating in the world today.”

GENIUS. GREAT> You can set your watch by them predictions.

Here’s another: “….an unusual planetary alignment that happened on May 11th. On this day Mercury, Venus, Mars and Jupiter all lined up neatly in the sky. Interestingly, an earthquake was felt in Spain that same day.”

But to put that in perspective there are about 3,500 earthquakes a year, granted most of them aren’t detected by us chaps as they are as gentle as Bambi’s mother’s teats, but there are around 4 per day globally that are above 5 on the Richter scale and you would notice that, it would be more like Bambi’s Mother’s killer stamping on your house. And as for Spain in particular, there’s around 2,500 quakes per year. Not such a coincidence anymore.
