About Venus Planet

Venus is the Planet of love, balance, harmony, our finances, and money.

Venus is the second planet away from the Sun and the hottest planet of our solar system. It is almost the same size as the Earth. Earth and Venus have some common surface features but conditions are entirely different. Venus has an extremely hostile environment. The gases present in its atmosphere trap the heat of the Sun and do not let it escape into Space. This makes it the hottest planet with the surface temperature of 490 degree centigrade. This causes volcanoes to erupt on its surface.

Venus is sometimes called the morning star or the evening star. It is the brightest object in the night sky after the Moon. The orbit of Venus lies between the Earth and the Sun. this means it can only be seen after sunset or before sunrise.

Maat Mons is an extinct volcano about 8 kilometers high.

The surface of planet Venus was mapped by Magellan spacecraft. Its hot and boiling atmosphere is made up of mainly carbon dioxide gas.

When observed from Earth, Venus appears as a bright star in morning and twilight sky.
