About Saturn Planet

Saturn is made out of hydrogen and helium. Titan, Saturn’s moon, is the only moon with a substantial atmosphere and has essential needs for life. Saturn’s ring system is 262,500 miles wide!

Saturn is the most spectacular planet in the Solar System. It is surrounded by colorful rings that make it stand out among all the planets in the Solar System. The rings are made up of thousands of ringlets, each made up of dust particles and chunks of ice and rocks. Saturn has the largest number of satellites. 18 moons have bee discovered, but astronomers believe that there are more. Titan is the largest.

Saturn has a mass 95 times that of Earth but its average density is so low that the planet is lighter than the same volume of water. This signifies that if we put Saturn in a water body that large, it will float.

A close-up of Saturn’s ring shows that the ringlets are made up of rock, some the size of pebbles and some the size of big houses.

Titan is the biggest of all the 18 moons.
