ome rock formations are extremely unique having a close resemblance to animals or part of animal’s anatomy.
Turtle Rock Island

This picture was taken by my friend during our trip to Hundred Islands in Pangasinan, Philippines. We called it “Turtle Rock Island” not because it’s a breeding ground for turtles, but due to the striking similarity of the rock island to a turtle.
Dog Rock

This is a large granite stone and this amazing rock look likes a dog’s head from afar. This intriguing rock formation called the Dog Rock is located in Albany, Australia.

This hill resembles an elephant trunk, hence, the name. The Elephant Trunk Hill is a landmark and tourist attraction in Guilin, Guangxi, China.
Elephant Butte

Another intriguing rock formation that has a resemblance to an animal is the Elephant Butte. At least to some observers who see the left side of its head, with a prominent ear, and its trunk curled by a foot. The strange butte or hill is located in New Mexico, USA.

On the ‘Hippo’s Yawn’ picture, I actually see an eagle. If you look at the water stains on the inside of the ‘mouth’ you should see it.
